Tirupati, January 3
The stage is set for the prestigious 104th Indian Science Congress (ISC) to be held in Tirupati for five days from Tuesday. The temple town was filled with noted scientists and Nobel Awardees from all over the country and also from abroad.
Special stalls have been set up for various research subjects, platforms erected decorations with special lighting has been arranged at the venue.
The SV University Taraka Rama Stadium was decorated beautifully where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the conference.
The university area and all main roads, nearby areas were brought under security blanket of SPG. Police officials, senior cops of vigilance and security wing are allowing people with ISC passes.
The Stadium turned into a fortress with tight security making it out of bounds to the public. Senior police officials were on their toes closely overseeing the security arrangements for the inauguration of the meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet all Noble awardees and review the steps being taken at present and those to be taken in future for the development of science and technological fields. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is giving special importance to the Science Congress since Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stay here for about six hours.
