During the weekly review meeting held in his chambers in TTD administrative building in Tirupati, the EO said TTD owing to huge demand from pilgrims has printed 32 lakh calendars of which 10 lakh were sold within first week of January 2017.
‘Keeping in view the huge demand from public, we have now made the TTD calendars of all formats available on our website facilitating free download,’ he added.
The TTD EO directed the officials to complete the works of Akhilandam, Kalyana Vedika, Dhwaja Sthambam by February month end since Sri Venkateswara Swamy Brahmotsavams in Upamaka will be held in March.
He also told them to complete Vakulamata temple construction near Tirupati, by February month end.
Later, the EO also reviewed on the Panchangam, which will be released by TTD next month for sales in connection with Telugu Ugadi on March 29. The officials were directed to print 70,000 copies of Panchangam.
He suggested to give wide publicity about TTD statues manufacturing unit. He said there is water sufficient for 271 days in the reservoirs in Tirumala.
The EO told the officials to make arrangements for organizing Ratha Saptami festival day on February 3 and to take steps to stop the stench at the main entrance of Kapileswara Swamy temple.
A review meeting on the conduct of Dharmika Sadassu will be held on January 23. The EO discussed the repair works of Srinivasa temple at Tiruchanur ZP High School. The officials were told to review the syllabus completed both college and school-wise as the annual exams are fast approaching in TTD educational institutions.
