The three-day National Women Parliament concluded at Pavitra Sangamam near Amaravathi on Monday.
The efforts of Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s four-month long monitoring along with the execution of plans by police and revenue officials through hard work bore fruits.
The Naidu team has succeeded in getting both the nation’s and foreign countries’ attention by conducting the first women Parliament. Earlier also the AP government had successfully conducted foundation laying for capital city, partnership summits twice in Vizag, Godavari and Krishna Pushkaralu, Happy Sunday, naval events, boat competitions in Machilipatnam, international fleet review and air-shows in the past two and half years.
Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao also proved his mettle in organizing mega events. For the past four months, he has been busy in making plans for the conduct of the mega event. He personally invited VIPs from both here and abroad.
The Speaker, who was successful in getting nation’s attention by organizing programmes in Narsaraopet and Sattenapalli constituencies, was successful in this event also.
Usually police will face lot of criticism in this type of events. Tussles between leaders, organizers, invitees are also common feature. But this time, it should be noted that there were no such incidents.
29 speakers on the first day, 31 on the second day and 15 on the third day gave energetic and impressive speeches. As many as 6 crore netizens liked their speeches while 1.20 crore of netizens shared their views.
About 1,700 college students attended the seminar and another 300 students participated in video-conference. Group meetings were held with 54 round tables, with 108 students per table. The women parliament concluded without announcing Amaravathi declaration.
