Suggesting the public to get used to cashless transactions and mobile currency, AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu assured the public not to worry over demonetization. Online payments will be enabled to DWACRA and employment guarantee schemes works. Cashless payments could also be made at 29,000 ration shops in the State. Naidu said a letter was written to the Centre requesting to cancel tax on POS machines.
The CM said there is about Rs. 1,250 crore cash in various banks and 86 per cent of cash is not under transactions after the high currency notes were scrapped.
Naidu said neither he knew nor any information about Chief Ministers’ meeting on December 2 over the problems due to demonetization. From now onwards people can withdraw money from ration shops, he informed.
Traders should use AP Purse and all the government payments will be done through AP Purse only.
