Vijayawada, February 6

Former Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who has been maintaining a low profile after State bifurcation, has once again come into lime light. While his contemporaries like Kavuri, Purandeswari, Rayapati have shifted loyalties, Rajagopal was seemly taking time off.

Now with elections in Uttar Pradesh, he has come into news again. Rajagopal, who is popular for his surveys and political analyses, is at it again. Predicting the results of forthcoming UP Assembly elections, Lagadapati stated that BJP would come out in flying colours in the polls.

Veering towards Andhra Pradesh, Lagadapati said that rural people are more inclined towards YSR Congress party than the ruling Telugu Desam. He said though both parties have equal public support, urban people are voting more for TDP.

He said people gave a shock to YS Jaganmohan Reddy in 2014 elections by silently casting their vote to Chandrababu Naidu.

As per Rajagopal’s predictions, TDP will win in 2019 polls as well. Responding to a question, he said that Congress situation is worse compared to other parties. When questioned whether seniors who have been in high position since 10 years could come to the rescue of the party, he said he has been keeping distance from Telugu people now.
