Vijayawada, December 31
Telugu Desam Party high command seems focused on strengthening the party in the State, especially in Kadapa, Chittoor in Rayalaseema and north Andhra. Nara lokesh is reviewing the party position in the districts and searching for ways to strengthen the party.
The main Opposition YSR Congress Party has strong holds in a few districts. Nara Lokesh, who has been looking after party affairs as party chief Chandrababu Naidu is busy with administration, turned his attention on this issue. He has been staying in Amaravathi four days per week.
Though 21 YSRCP MLAs have joined the ruling TDP in recent times, new problems arose due to misunderstandings between the new entrants and party in-charges of the constituencies. They are not heeding Chandrababu’s directions to adjust.
In this situation, Lokesh directed the leaders and party cadre to bring all problems to his notice and strictly told them not to do anything that may incur loss to the party.
Lokesh laid focus mainly on Piler and Punganoor in Chitooor district, a few constituencies in Kadapa and north Andhra districts since he came to know that the party is weak in these areas.
Lokesh is keen on welcoming all those who are interested to join the party.
