Vijayawada, November 29
Vijayawada metro rail construction is going on track with DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) ready to construct metro rail in two corridors. The first corridor will be from Pundit Nehru bus station to Nidamanuru with Rs. 969 crores and the second one is from Pundit Nehru bus station to Penamaluru with Rs. 832 crores.
The last date for filing tenders is December 5 to January 16, 2017 for the first phase and December 8 to January 17, 2017 is for the second phase. Transparency will be maintained during the tenders process.
Tenders are invited for the construction of 13 elevated stations at various places in first phase at a stretch of about 0.155 km to 13.210 km from bus station to railway station, Besant road, Sitaramapuram, Machavaram signal, Padavala revu, Gunadala, Ramavarappadu ring, Prasadampadu, MBT centre and Enikepadu linking Eluru road.
In the second phase, tenders are invited for construction of 11 elevated stations including design from Pundit Nehru bus station to Victoria museum, Indira Gandhi stadium, Tikkil road, Benz circl, Autonagar gate, Ashok Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Kanuru, Tadigadapa, Poranki and Penamaluru linking Bandar road at a stretch of 0.155 km to 12.390 km.
