Vijayawada, January 19
Aspirants, eagerly waiting for AP cabinet expansion, are getting depressed due to repeated postponements. They start lobbying whenever they get news about the expansion and again call it off once they realize the government is not going ahead with it.
It is almost three years since Chandrababu Naidu came to power. Except those ministers who took oath along with Naidu, no other senior leaders could get a berth in the cabinet.
Naidu assured of cabinet expansion since day one of his taking power but his assurance could not be materialized. The party sources felt they could not fight the upcoming elections with the present cabinet.
TDP circles are abuzz that without a supportive hand from ministers, Naidu is forced to look after all issues and matters. The party leaders felt it will do good if cabinet is expanded at least now.
Whenever news of cabinet expansion comes to the fore, speculations are rife that Nara Lokesh, son of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will also be inducted. Even the leaders discussed about the department to be given to Lokesh.
While a few other leaders observed the delay in cabinet re-jig may lead to strife among the party leaders. The situation of defectors is worse. They reportedly lamented that their expectations were not fulfilled.
