Srikakulam, January 17

Jana Sena chief and actor Pawan Kalyan questioning the government on kidney patients in Uddanam area in Srikakulam district has shown a great impact.

The State government is taking measures to provide medical treatment to the kidney patients. Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas is going to tour the area for the second time.

Along with Principal Secretary (Health) Poonam Malakondaiah and senior officials of health ministry, the Minister is going to visit the area on January 19. They will study the reasons for the spread of disease, prevailing conditions, and measures to be taken.


Later they will draft a detailed report on their study. Minister Kamineni will meet Central Health Minister Nadda at Delhi and appraise of the details.

About 1.20 lakh people living in 100 villages in Uddanam area are suffering with kidney problem. The health department survey will reveal as to how many people are suffering with the disease. After this only, the government will get clarity over how many dialysis centres it has to set up in this region to help address the kidney problem.
