The cyclone ‘Vardah’ after intensifying is expected to cross Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam on December 12, according to Vizag meteorological deparment. Heavy rains will lash out in the coastal region from December 11 and heavy winds at 45 to 50 kmph will precede it from December 10.


Amidst warnings of the possibility of depression in Bay of Bengal turning into a cyclone, the costa district officials have already set up a control room and issued second danger warning at Bandar port.

They warned the fisherfolk not to venture into the sea and ordered the fishermen, who already went for fishing, to return before December 10.
