There is an appreciable fall in the night temperatures in Telugu states, especially in agency areas. Temperatures in Visakhapatnam agency areas drastically fell, creating problems to girijans. The area was covered by dense fog.
8 degree C in Lambasingi and 9 degree C in Chintapalli and Paderu were recorded. On the other hand the day temperatures have increased from 2 to 5 degree C. Health experts suggested the public to be careful due to the difference in day and night temperatures.
The depression over the south-east Bay of Bengal remained practically stationary and lay centered about 1,180 km south-southeast of Visakhapatnam, according to Med department sources. The system is likely to move north-westwards during the next 72 hours. It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours.
Fishermen were warned to be alert. One number danger signal was raised at Visakhapatnam, Machilipatnam, Krishnapatnam, Nizampatnam, Gangavaram and Kakinada ports.
On the other hand, a cold wave across North India has left people struggling. The cold wave has led to a sudden drop in temperature. Dense fog blanketed Delhi.
Several international flights and trains were cancelled due to thick dense fog. 81 trains are running behind schedule and three trains were cancelled. Five domestic and eight international flight services were canceled, while a few other flights were diverted to other routes.
