The 23rd edition of CII Partnership Summit and the second Sunrise Andhra Pradesh Investment Meet began on a grand note with 128 MoUs signed for an investment of about Rs 4.25 lakh crore.
As per the details of first day meeting, Sheet Limited, Dickson Technologies India Private Limited, Indani Global, Rorich Health Care, NSL Mining, Neopharma, Next Orbit Venture Fund, Inox Wind, Oplus Plus DIADA, Chengdu Gimgrand, REC and other companies made the agreements.
The first agreement was made with a UK company to construct multi-purpose games stadium on 38 acres land in Amaravathi with a budget of Rs 8,000 crores.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said only two states in the country will compete in development and they are vibrant Gujarat and sunrise Andhra Pradesh. This is called cooperative federalism and the Modi government at the centre will encourage this, he hoped.
Each must encourage one another to make the investments process smoother and easy. AP State is on profit side since it has one of the the country’s strongest information technology connectivity, he observed.
Naidu said his target was to touch 15 % growth by 2018. AP is top 10 in the world in ease of doing business. Naidu vowed to make AP as ports-based economy just like he transformed Hyderabad as knowledge economy.
He said that AP State is in surplus in power generation. Stating that about 2,000 representatives from 40 countries are participating in the CII Partnership Summit, Naidu suggested them to make their countries as their first home and to set up their second home in Vizag, Tirupati and Amaravathi.
