New Delhi, January 21
The Border Security Force (BSF) has transferred the Commandant Officer and the deputy of 29th battalion, whose soldier Tej Bahadur Yadav recently alleged that poor quality food was being given to troops posted along the border.
Tej Bahadur’s video, complaining about the quality of food given to soldiers on Jammu borders, created quite an uproar.
BSF conducted a high-level probe into the allegations and submitted the report to home ministry. It was reportedly mentioned in the report that the officials have siphoned off groceries meant for soldiers.
There was a huge response from the public to the video posted by Tej Bahadur and criticized army senior officials and transferred BSF commandant.
Meanwhile, Tej Bahadur’s wife has alleged that her husband was pressurized to render apologies and to withdraw his complaint.
Reports appeared that Tej Bahadur had mental problems. Responding to the complaints, Army Chief warned soldiers to make complaints directly to him instead of resorting to social media.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also enquired about the sensational video of jawan’s food.
