After returning from a ten-day foreign tour, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is going to hold a meeting, titled Jana Vedan with senior party leaders at his residence in New Delhi on Wednesday. The meeting was held to discuss the strategy ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in five states.
The leaders will discuss the problems faced by common and middle class people due to demonetization and its effect on country’s financial growth.
MLAs, MLCs, MPs of all states; district and mandal-level party presidents; defeated candidates during last elections, AICC members, PCC committee members will attend the meeting.
As many as 200 coordinators, specially appointed by Rahul Gandhi, have toured in various states to study the problems post demonetization and public problems. They are going to submit reports of their survey at the meeting. Also leaders from different states could speak about the problems in their respective states.
After holding discussions on note ban, the party will decide the future course of action.
Jana Vedan meeting raised curiosity among the party cadre amidst reports that Rahul Gandhi will take up party president post soon.
