Irate supporters of Congress leaders vandalised the state Congress party office in Dehradun on Monday. They were protesting against the denial of party ticket to their leaders for the Assembly elections.
As soon as the Congress released its first list of candidates for Uttarakhand elections, supporters of the party leaders, who were denied ticket, reached the party office in Dehradun and resorted to vandalism. They damaged billboards, tore posters and damaged furniture.
The supporters of Aryendra Sharma and Naveen Bisht attacked the party office and removed office boards. They tore flexis of Chief Minister Harish Rawat and raised slogans against Rawat.
They criticized that the high command had given tickets to others ignoring those who have been working for the party since the beginning.
