The AP government finally agreed for the Andhra police transfer from Telangana.
Police officials and other staff belonging to Andhra Pradesh State have remained in Telangana post State bifurcation. About 2,000 cops under various designations applied to transfer them to AP. But the AP government kept the proposal in pending afraid of the financial burden.
Now the Telangana police officials made a new proposal to the AP government. According to this, the TS government will relieve all the officials along with their posts to Andhra Pradesh and will create new posts in their place. The higher officials informed that the AP government agreed to their proposal on Andhra police transfer.
At present the Telangana government is paying the salaries to these 2,000 cops. There will be no financial burden on the TS government since it has to pay the same salaries to the new recruits also.
