Hyderabad, January 18
Noted spiritual speaker Chaganti Koteswara Rao was the centre of a controversy, after the All India Yadava Mahasabha registered a complaint against him for making derogatory comments against Lord Krishna during a show on a regional TV channel.
Pointing out that Chaganti had insulted their community, they filed cases in both Telugu states. They are demanding that Chaganti should render unconditional apologies.
Yadava leaders lashed out that Changanti’s comments were giving an impression that Yadava community people are unclean.
All India Yadava Mahasabha city secretary Ashok Kumar Yadav filed a complaint against Chaganti at Tappachabutra police station on Tuesday. He sought action against the spiritual speaker for insulting Yadavas.
BC Sangharshana Samithi State vice-president JK Sekhar Yadav filed a complaint at Jagadgiri Gutta police station.
Meanwhile, Yadava unions registered a case against Chaganti Koteswara Rao at Gopala Patnam police station in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. They demanded Chaganti render apologies, otherwise they warned of intensifying their protest.
