Hyderabad, February 11
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is gearing up to seize the house and Sakshi, Telugu news daily main office of YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy in 10 days.
The ED issued notices to Jagan on Thursday seeking his cooperation in confiscating his properties. The ED officials handed over the notices at Jagan’s residence and Sakshi office.
The Enforcement Directorate has revealed the details of the properties to be seized. All these properties are in the name of Shaloom infrastructures. The company has bought 2,623 square feet area at Naveen Nagar in Banjara Hills road number 1 and constructed eight-storied building in the land.
Sakshi newspaper and Sakshi TV channel main office are running in this building.
A four-storied building was constructed with cellar and sub-cellar in the 1,000 square yards adjacent to the Sakshi building.
Along with these buildings, Jagan has a lavish villa at Lotus Pond.
The ED is going to seize 7.85 acres of land of Harish Infrastructures at Mamillapalli of Kadapa municipal corporation limits; 9,680 square feet area of Nivish Infrastructures at Katedan in Rajendra Nagar, Cyberabad; and 32.31 acres in Sardar Nagar revenue village of Maheswaram mandal.
Normally ED gives one and half month time for confiscating properties. But it gives 10 days only under cases of severe nature.
The ED’s move has become a hot topic among YSR Congress leaders, who observed that this may rise anti-feeling among the public against Jagan. They are trying to get a stay on this at the earliest.
