Hyderabad, February 6
The slugfest between Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who defected from TDP to join the ruling TRS, and Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TTDP) president Ramana has become a point of interest among political groups.
Retorting to TTDP working president Revanth Reddy’s comment that night meetings are a regular with Errabelli, the latter alleged that Revanth is blackmailing party supremo Chandrababu Naidu that he will turn approver in note-for-vote case.
Confirming his meeting with Ramana, Errabelli clarified that he will not rejoin TDP.
Errabelli Dayakar Rao, after meeting TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao at his camp office one night, shifted parties. Now rumours are abuzz that he will return to TDP.
It was said that Errabelli, who had prominence in TDP, has no importance in the ruling party as Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, Konda Surekha couple and Vinay Bhaskar groups are already playing a key role in Warangal TRS.
Besides, he was not given any nominated or key posts. Suppressing his dissatisfaction, Errabelli commented that he was not interested in minister post during Assembly meetings.
Almost all senior party leaders are unhappy towards Revanth, who has a hold on the party though Ramana is the TTDP president. Based on this point, Errabelli meeting with Ramana led to speculations that the former is trying to get Ramana into pink party. The two-time MLA from Jagitial Ramana will become an asset to TRS, according to sources.
Responding to Errabelli meeting with Ramana, Revanth Reddy stated that it is his (Errabelli’s) habit to hold night meetings. Irritated by this satire, Errabelli released a press statement, alleging that people are making such comments only to spoil his political career.
‘Everybody knows, who visits whose houses in the nights. TDP sources alleged that Revanth is blackmailing Chandrababu Naidu that he will turn approver in note-for-vote case.’
