Hyderabad, February 13
To prevent repetition of results in the last graduate MLC elections in the ensuing teacher MLC polls in Telangana, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party handed over the responsibility to Minister Harish Rao, famous as trouble-shooter.
TRS is busy with the impending teacher MLC elections in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar districts.
Sitting legislative council member Katepalli Janardhan Reddy’s candidature was almost confirmed. He has been facing several allegations.
Harish Rao started efforts to garner the support of a few independent candidates also. According to information a few of the independents yielded to the ruling party pressure but others are keen to contest on their own.
Minister Harish Rao met the MLAs of the districts which are going for elections. He discussed the government’s welfare schemes for the teachers and suggested them to be extolled on the election campaign.
He told them to work as in-charges for their respected constituencies to ensure wins for party candidates.
