Hyderabad, January 20

The GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) demolished 12 hookah parlours, being conducted in illegal constructions in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills three days ago.

Now the officials have removed the illegal lay outs of Pride India Company in Begumpet, Mataji Nagar and Secunderabad areas. The officials found out that the company has designed illegal layouts and closed its office.

Action was taken against OCD hookah centre, Moksh hookah centre at Jubilee Hills road number 1, illegal constructions atop Mansingh Square building at Banjara Hills Road No: 12, The Earth Cafe on Jubilee Hills Road No. 36, and other illegal constructions where hookah centres were being run in Banjara Hills Road No: 9.

GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy directed the officials to repair the roads immediately after taking up repair works. Otherwise criminal action will be taken against those officials, he warned. He told that the officials and contractors should give importance to grass root level duties and directed them to form WhatsApp groups to review works progress.
