Hyderabad, December 2
There will be no cut in the number of seats in Osmania and Nizamabad medical college, clarified Health Minister Dr. Laxma Reddy. He directed the officials to rectify all the flaws and to solve problems if any. If needed, he assured of discussing with Central Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda.
The Medical Council of India (MCI) recently held sudden inspection of Osmania and Nizamabad medical colleges and had declared cancellation 150 seats due to several flaws.
In this context, Minister Laxma Reddy assured of taking measures to provide buildings as per student ratio and teaching staff. The officials informed the Minister these colleges have sufficient staff but were not present at the time of inspection.
The Minister assured the students and their parents not to worry regarding the medical college seats.
