Hyderabad, November 16
TDP Telangana State unit working president Revanth Reddy launched state-wide three-month padayatra to revitalize the party cadre.
The Telangana TDP leaders alleged that party chief Chandrababu Naidu is neglecting them while the AP leaders are supporting Naidu saying that he has been busy in solving the various issues in Andhra Pradesh.
TDP was strong in the State before the note for vote case came to light. The audio and video tapes of this case revealed the alleged involvement of both Naidu and Revanth in the case. Rumours were rife then that Chandrababu Naidu compromised with KCR.
TDP leaders were disappointed with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election results. Chandrababu Naidu has shifted the party office to Amaravathi from Hyderabad, forcing the T leaders to go to the Andhra capital. But the leaders alleged that they are not getting Naidu’s appointment on several occasions.
Revanth said that the party still has strong leaders in 10 Telangana districts. Former minister Devender Goud and his relative Aravind Kumar Goud in twin cities; Devender Goud’s son Veerender Goud in Ranga Reddy; Revanth, Kothakota Dayakar Reddy and Ravula Chandrashekar Reddy in Palamuru district; Arikela Narsa Reddy and Annapurnamma in Nizamabad; Nama Nageswar Rao in Khammam; Ramana and Vijaya Ramana Rao in Karimnagar; Ramesh Rathode in Adilabad; Mothkupalli Narasimhulu and Uma Madhava Reddy in Nalgonda; and Revuri Prakash Reddy and Seetakka in Warangal district.
Reventh Reddy aimed to win more than 20 seats in the next general elections and hence took up the responsibility of strengthening the party at grass root level.
