Hyderabad, November 29
The Telangana Telugu Desam Party working president A Revanth Reddy has shouldered the responsibility of strengthening the party in Telangana to compete with the ruling TRS. The migrations to the ruling party have weakened the party but it has at least one strong leader in each district.
The TDP’s prominence in the State was reportedly weakened after the note for vote case came into light, which involved Revanth Reddy and also AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. It was rumoured that Naidu compromised with K Chandrashekar Rao after the audio tapes were revealed.
Revanth Reddy is keen to unite all the strong leaders, who earlier worked in key positions, after the party’s disappointment in Greater Hyderabad Corporation elections. The party has prepared plan of action to win more than 20 seats in the coming general elections and to give a stiff fight in another 20 seats.
The party sources said the TTDP leaders themselves have to restore the party in Telangana. Revanth was reportedly busy in preparing an action plan extending all help including financial help to those who will cooperate with him. Revanth Reddy team is gearing up to launch State-wide padayatra after six months. The leaders have discussed their plan with the party chief and waiting for his permission.
