Hyderabad, February 8
Knowingly or unknowingly, TDP chief and AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu became detached with Telangana TDP after State bifurcation and taking up power in AP.
In the initial days, he used to hold special meetings with TTDP leaders on every Saturday. These meetings were stopped after AP Secretariat was shifted to Amaravathi.
Party national general secretary Nara Lokesh managed TTDP affairs till recently. But he is reportedly getting included in the cabinet, he may not have time to monitor TTDP.
There are chances to hand over the TTDP to any senior leader. Chandrababu’s recent suggestion to the party leaders to run the TTDP themselves is also an indication for this.
Discussions are going on among party circles as to who will get the chance. L Ramana is TTDP president and the working president, Revanth Reddy is looking after all works. It appears that Revanth will be handed over the reins of TTDP.
With majority of senior leaders growing opposite to Revanth and Errabelli and others leaving the party, now the hot topic is the question as to how the seniors will respond to the latest development.
Mothkupalli Narasimhulu has been keeping a low profile with the assurance of Governor’s post. It was observed that none will oppose Revanth for taking party leadership.
