Hyderabad, February 1
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lauding Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his decisions on sub-plan implantation have created a row in T Congress.
The Congress leaders have pointed out that the senior leaders are criticizing the TRS government for neglecting the SCs and praising KCR at the same time.
SC, ST sub-plan Act was made in 2013 during Congress rule. SC, ST MLAs, MLCs and MPs met Chief Minister KCR recently and requested him to implement the sub-plan.
During the meeting, Bhatti and Sampath reportedly praised KCR. It was even said that Sampath reportedly said that KCR has taken revolutionary decisions, leading to heated discussion among party circles.
But the two leaders have not denied these statements. The same topic came for discussion during the SC MLAs meeting at Gandhi Bhawan on Monday.
It was reported that Congress leaders expressed ire as the leaders, instead of questioning KCR on sub-plan implementation, praised him.
Responding over this, Bhatti said that CM office had given wrong information on this. Congress leaders felt that they should have condemned the news on the very first day. But now their inaction over the issue is giving wrong signals that they are praising KCR.
