Hyderabad, January 23
Telangana TDP leaders decided to launch agitations against the TRS government’s anti-public policies. They have taken several resolutions during a review meeting held in Hyderabad recently.
TTDP claims that it is the only alternate for TRS in Telangana, stating that the Opposition party Congress is not in a position to fight against the government. TTDP also warned BJP that it would not join hands with any party that has ties with the ruling party. The leaders also clarified that they would respond only after BJP announces its national policy on alliances.
TTDP leaders observed that along with contesting in Singareni elections, they have to organize training camps for party cadre and should strengthen the cadre at village, mandal and constituency levels.
They gave a call to the party activists to get ready to fight for public issues. The leaders criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for not giving any assurance to avoid farmers’ suicides. Several issues like double bedroom houses for homeless poor, three acre land to Dalits and the like were discussed. After discussing on fee reimbursement, the leaders planned to hold a series of agitations on the problem.
They also planned to conduct public meetings to criticize government failures. To begin with, they would organize a meeting in Gajwel, Chief Minister’s own constituency and then in other constituencies of Ministers.
Telangana TDP leaders suggested party affiliated associations to stage protests against government’s anti-public policies. It was decided that the party’s women wing will fight for houses while youth and student wings will fight against unemployment and fee reimbursements issues.
TTDP will organize a massive public meeting on party foundation day and will explain its aims and policies to the youth.
