Stage is set to organize Mini Medaram Jatara at Medaram, Tadwai mandal, Bhupalpalli district from Wednesday. District administration has made all arrangements for the four-day jatara.
Tribals pray Sammakka and Saramma for four days and perform pujas in the name of ‘Mandamelige Pandaga’. This has become a Mini Medaram Jatara considering the number of devotees visiting the place.
It is customary to celebrate ‘Mandamelige Pandaga’ on the day of Maghashudda Pournami one year after the bi-annual Medaram Jatara.
Vadde priests will clean the temples of Sammakka in Medaram, Saralamma temple in Kannepalli and also the temple of Govindarajulu and Pagididda Raju and perform puja rituals.
On Wednesday, the first day, the temple premises will be cleaned and painted with rangolies and haldi and kumkum.
Dwajasthabhams (flag poles) will be set up in four directions in the village. On Wednesday night, Vadde priests and family members will be awake the whole night at Medaram gadde areas.
Devotees rush from various areas has already started. RTC arranged special buses from various areas in the district and also from other districts for mini medaram jatara.
Officials said that they are running one bus for every 15 minutes from Warangal and Hanamkonda to Medaram. Special buses from Hyderabad are also arranged with online ticket reservation facility.
Bhupalpally district police set up special security. Nearly 700 police personnel including DSPs, CIs, Sis, constables, home guards, AR, APSP wings were pressed into bandobast duties in Medaram.
Police pickets were set up. Barricades for devotees queue lines were arranged.
