Corruption is rampant in Telangana University from development works to outsourcing staff recruitments. The staff was selected as a secret operation and lakhs of rupees were changed hands.
No official was answering to questions like “How many outsourcing staff is appointed?” No one knows about the outsourcing agency name.
In this context, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha expressed anger over the appointments. She asked the university Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sambaiah to furnish details of the total staff appointed, the way appointments were taken, who told to appoint, qualifications of the employees. She also told him of forwarding the details to Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari.
A person in Bhikkanor of Kamareddy district had reportedly appointed four of his relatives as outsourcing employees. One of these have no required qualifications.
A lecturer in the Telangana university campus has appointed his relatives in eight posts. Above all these, an attender had got hold of 10 posts and collected Rs 80,000 from each person. Two to three posts were reportedly allocated to the leaders of a few student union leaders.
