Telangana Minister Harish Rao has been making all efforts to make Siddipet District as a role model in the country in cashless transactions. Already he achieved success in turning Ibrahimpur in his constituency as the first cashless village in the country.
Not only in this regard, Siddipet constituency was also leading in the implementation of Mission Bhagiratha, Swachch Siddipet, Haritha Haram and other programmes.
Now the officials are striving to encourage 100 per cent digital payments in the constituency.
Mini ATMs supplied to 60 societies
Minister Harish Rao handed over mini ATMs to 50 women groups at Sivams gardens. MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy also participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Harish Rao said he will make the district as a model one in digital payments in the country. Free wi-fi is being provided for each village to encourage digital payments. He assured that he will bear ATM charges if the women groups make 50 per cent of their transactions through online payments.
